Mathias is a courageous individual who, as a father of two, consistently brings genuine value to the Central Ohio Real Estate market. With a strong educational background, I am a proud graduate of Martin Van Buren High School in Queens, New York, where I excelled academically while also pursuing my passion for the arts. Additionally, I achieved great success in football during my high school years.
Following graduation, I briefly attended Hudson Valley Community College to further my football career and explore my newfound interest in Disability Studies, specifically focusing on children with Special Needs. Subsequently, I pursued my academic and athletic endeavors at West Virginia University as a Division 1 Athlete, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies. During my time at the university, I also pursued minors in Sports and Exercise Psychology, Sports Communication, and concentrated on Disability Studies.
I take great pride in my academic accomplishments and the recognition I have received for my achievements. Building upon my educational foundation, I pursued a Master’s degree and had the privilege of serving as a Special Education teacher for K-Adult Multi-Kat, as well as a counselor. These roles provided me with invaluable opportunities to expand my knowledge and expertise in the field.
Following my successful teaching career, I transitioned into law enforcement, where I served as an officer for over three years. During this time, I dedicated myself to the noble cause of protecting and serving the communities I was entrusted with. Leveraging my educational background, I also actively promoted awareness among my fellow officers about the significance of individuals with disabilities and the importance of recognizing signs related to this population.
